This is a heroic zone that can hold from 1 to 6 people. Theoretically you might be able to solo it (very difficult).
When you enter, your group is split up into different locations. You must each solo your way through the caves until you find the central cavern where all of your paths meet. You automatically receive the quest Find Your Companions which tracks your progress.
Entrance[]
The entrance is called A Malfunctioning Terraporter, and is found at the north end of Sundered Splitpaw: Splitpaw Den, up the ladder. (-7, -62, -322)
Exit[]
The exit is in the central cavern where the solo paths meet. You will see a heroic boss mob at the center of the cavern Animator Mezmolar. Exit the instance without killing Animator Mezmolar will not give you points for the Gnolls, so it is a waste of time spent.
As of March 19, 2008, there does not appear to be a zone lockout timer for this quest.

It is possible to log out to the character selection screen and then log back in if you decide to change your mind about doing this particular quest.
