This article is official Retributions Blade policy. When representing RB, users should follow these guidelines at all times. |
Intro
All Retribution Guild Members are encouraged to be familiar with and asked to comply with each of the guild policies explained on this page. If you have any questions regarding any policy please ask any Guild Officer for assistance.
PANHANDLING
Panhandling - the act of asking for free goods, resources or services. |
---|
New members ("WANDERERs") are prohibited from requesting free services, resources or crafted goods from guild members until they reach the rank of "Forager (Associate)" or higher.
This encourages new members just arriving in guild to work for resources instead of begging for them. This does not prevent guild members from offering free services, resources or crafted goods, instead, it's a policy put in place which discourages "mooching" while encourages self motivation.
A new member that just arrives and immediately starts asking for stuff will quickly find themselves being shown the door. Those who violate this policy could face sanctions up to and including Guild expulsion. Please remember our guild is based on the premise of "give as much as you take". |
AWAY FROM KEYBOARD (AFK) Policy
All Members are asked to use the "/AFK" feature whenever they are unavailable to respond |
---|
This helps reduce or avoid misunderstandings and communications problems and is a fine display of good manners. |
CHARACTER NAMES
All Guild Members Character Names must comply fully with the game Term Of Service and must also follow our more restrictive guidelines. |
---|
Our more restrictive "naming" guidelines include:
|
COMMISSION CRAFTED ITEMS
Accepting fees for crafting commissioned items are allowed. |
---|
Commission Crafted Items are unique in that crafting these items require specialized skill sets and and these items cannot always be listed on the world broker. Since the member is required to provide the materials necessary to craft these items, and because of the unique training requirements necessary for the craftsman, accepting fees for crafting items are allowed. This does not mean that guild craftsmen are "required" to charge a fee, it simply means they have the authorization to do so. |
DRAMA
Drama should be left on the stage not in game. Our goal is to find members who can play together and get along. Please remember, this is only a game, let's have fun! |
---|
We understand someone might slip and issue a profanity word in the heat of battle, that issue is covered under the "Profanity" policy, Cutting someone down, sending discouraging tells, blowing up at someone and sending negative tells, verbal comments, as well as making open guild chat comments designed to encite unrest or undermine the guild are all considered forms of creating Drama. Individuals come to online games for many reasons, some come to relax, others come for excitement or to relieve boredom.
|
DONATIONS MADE TO THE GUILD
Once Donated, Always Donated. |
---|
ALL ITEMS (example: Status Points, Coin/Plat, Furniture, Equipment, Guild Bank Items) transferred to any guild officer, placed within the guild hall, or moved into any Guild account, such as a Guild Escrow or Guild Hall Escrow are considered DONATED to the guild, with all rights to the item(s) released and forfeited forever.
|
GAME RULES and TERMS OF SERVICE
All Retributions Guild Members are expected and required to comply fully with the Sony/EQIIx Rules and Terms of Service while a member of this guild. |
---|
Plain and simple, if you are found to be violating either, you will be given one chance to correct the situation with no debates or arguments. Questions regarding clarifications are allowed.
|
ADVERTISEMENTS AND HYPERTEXT LINKAGE
Site Terms of Use directs the policy regarding this subject. |
---|
This policy states: Only those advertisements or hypertext links which have been pre-approved in writing by Garden Chateau may be placed on any website owned or operated by Garden Chateau. This policy also carries forward into the game wherever game options might provide an avenue to display these items. Therefore to clarify, no URL's, HTML links or Advertisements may be placed on Members Personal Notes, Officer Notes, Message of The Day, Guild Screens, Guild Chat Channels, or voice channels without prior written approval of Garden Chateau or Retributions Blade Guild Leader. Members are required to provide proof of authorization upon request. |
GIFTS TO MEMBERS
Acceptable ANYTIME. |
---|
Gifts are items or services given to any member with NO STRINGS ATTACHED. Gifts are not "trades", Gifts are not Charging an individual a price, and a Gift is not asking for something in return. It is a "gift free and clear".
|
GROUPING
Our guild adheres to the "Need before Greed" (NBG) policy when grouped |
---|
This policy applies to ALL LOOT ITEMS (1)
This means in most groups you will be choosing "GREED" on a lot of items.
3. VIOLATIONS of this policy -
4. POLICY OBJECTIVES -
|
GUILD CHAT
Voice and Text Channels |
---|
This policy applies the same to ALL Guild and Game Voice & Text Chat Channels both in and out of game.
|
PROFANITY
Profanity should be avoided at all times. |
---|
While we aren't a "family orientated" style guild, we never-the-less have a duty to all to maintain a sense of decency and decorum in our guild. We understand that an occasional curse word may slip out, however anything of frequency, deliberance or extreme offensiveness is uncalled for and unwelcome.
If this is a repeated issue for someone, the Guild reserves the right to take further action including and up to dismissal from the Guild. Please note that "SOME" profanity may be considered "so offensive" that immediate disiplinary actions may occur without warning. |
RAID POLICY
Retributions Blade is a "content exploration" style guild. |
---|
Raid policy is outlined in a separate section called "Raid Info" |
ITEMS SOLD BY MEMBERS
Overview
GUILD MEMBERS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SOLICIT SALES FROM GUILD MEMBERS EVER! |
---|
Our guild is known for it's generous members. This policy is designed to implement a fair and uniform method of transferring items between guild members and to reduce or eliminate any "pressured sales".
|
Direct Sales
Direct Sales are transfers between 2 or more guild members for an exchange of game currency. |
---|
These sales are allowed providing:
|
Indirect Sales
Indirect sales are items placed on the World Broker Market by a guild member |
---|
Members are welcome to place any item on the world broker for purchase at any price. Other members are encouraged to check for fellow guild member's sales before purchasing from outside the guild. |
Competitive Pricing
Bidding Wars are Prohibited. |
---|
This policy will become effective February 22, 2013 at 0001 hours. It is designed to help all members and prevent the guild from being hurt financially by another of it's members. Selling items on the market broker creates revenue for individuals and guilds. Our guild has one and only one representative appointed to sell items on behalf of the guild. Our representative is: "Retributions" aka "Retributions Blade". Members are welcome to place any item on the world broker for purchase at any price. Bid wars are HIGHLY DISCOURAGED between a guild member and the guild. Bid wars may occur between individual guild members, just not between a member and the Guild's market sales representative named "Retributions". So what is a bid war? A bidding war occurs when one member REPEATEDLY lowers their selling price for an item to stay under another selling price on the market broker. Constantly lowering your sales prices to beat the guild's sales representative aka broker "Retributions" not only hurts other guild members, it also weakens the guild. A well established guild can be an important asset to it's members. We use money generated from member donations to sponsor the most benefits ever offered by any guild on the Freeport Server. We know that you expect the items you donate to generate the most coin possible and following this policy helps to serve that purpose. Since each member becomes richer through guild sponsored benefits, our belief is, we can only do so if we can generate the funds needed to provide these special amenities. You are asked to be on the lookout for items being sold by "Retributions". IF by chance you are identified as being in a bid war with the guild's broker, an in-game message or tell may be dispatched to remind you of guild policy. Here are some options you may wish to consider when this situation occurs:
ExamplesExample #1: (this WOULD be considered a violation of the bidding war policy)
